How can I get involved or volunteer?

Call us at 302-333-1331 to join a planting event! We welcome volunteers of all ages — no experience needed, just enthusiasm for the environment and community. Every pair of hands makes a difference.
What is the TEDI Initiative?

TEDI stands for Tree for Every Delawarean Initiative — a Delaware state program aiming to dramatically increase tree canopy coverage statewide. TEDI considers any organization helping meet its tree planting goals a partner. Deep Roots Foundation is proud to be a TEDI partner, contributing trees toward Delaware's statewide canopy goal.
Can my school or organization host a planting event?

Absolutely! We love partnering with schools, PTAs, civic groups, and businesses. We bring the trees, the training, and the team. Call 302-333-1331 to set up a planting event in your community.
How do I properly plant a tree?
▾
Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball but no deeper. Place the tree so the trunk base is level with the soil surface, backfill with native soil, water thoroughly, and mulch around the base without touching the trunk to retain moisture and prevent weeds.
